Comments: drove Kyle Rd from Greencastle west to Archer, north to Lambert. Mainly watched horned larks, longspurs, bunting at cattle yard on south part of Archer, 0.3 miles north of Kyle. Cold, 14 F, clear, calm, 1 inch snow cover on fields. A week into cold snap.

Bald Eagle 1 adult perched in tree row on Kyle
Rough-legged Hawk 1 light morph, hovering in short grass/forb field, dropped once
American Kestrel 1
American Crow 25 flock in field near ditch with running water
Horned Lark 120 big flock at cattle yard on Archer; frequently breaking up into smaller groups, leaving pen and returning. Pecking near frozen clods of dung, etc.
European Starling 20
Lapland Longspur 20 with Horned Larks in cattle yard
Snow Bunting 1 with Horned Larks and L. Longspurs in cattle yard
