This morning I checked Los Alamitos Creek from the north side of the Bertram Road bridge and found 24 WOOD DUCKS where they like to hang out in the winter. The continuing PACIFIC WREN was seen at the creek between Casa Grande and the New Almaden post office after much searching. A HAIRY WOODPECKER was near LaForet and apair of WODU flushed from behind the Community Club. A hundred BAND TAILED PIGEONS were seen in flight from Alamitos Road and a WILD TURKEY flock was foraging along Bertram Road.
The female PHAINOPEPLA remains in the hilltop oak across from the Mockingbird Hill entrance to Quicksilver Co. Park.
