Subject: [slocobirding] hightide birding, Morro Bay
Had a good morning of birding at the marina board walk. With the 5.7ft high tide we went looking for the Nelson's sparrow but no luck today. There were abundant numbers of savannah sparrows and American pipits, some great very close views of least sandpipers, american avocets and a low flying peregrine falcon.

Scanned the turkey vultures above the eucalyptus trees, looking for the zone-tailed hawk. Did not see the bird but, will continue to keep an eye out.
