John Cox and I just had a good look at a Lapland Longspur on the jetty road where it starts near the beach at Huntington Beach State Park. It just flew north along the jetty road - we will try and refind.
The jetty is covered in salt water ice formations and waves are breaking along the length of both jetties on this very high tide. Lots of birds present but tough to make out at a distance due to non-heat shimmer.
