At first light (about 8AM) this morning there was no Gyrfalcon on the pole. It was raining. I returned at 11:30 (it was still raining) and within 5 minutes I spotted the gyr in flight. It flew north over and to the end of the runway, turned around, flew south over my head and on to the northmost pole which seems to be a favored perch. It was still there when I left at about 12:30.
It was a good day.
