Subject: [SFBirds] Area 2 CBC Count yesterday
No surprises for yesterday's Christmas Bird Count on the northern waterfront, but the YELLOW WARBLER continued near the tennis courts at Fort Mason (seen twice - morning and afternoon), and a WANDERING TATTLER was on the rocks in Aquatic Park at low tide. The WHITE-THROATED and LINCOLN'S SPARROW continued in the garden. High counts included 132 CEDAR WAXWINGS at Fort Mason, as well as more than 200 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS. The Yacht Harbor was quite active, including a FORSTER'S TERN, a SANDERING, two SURFBIRDS, a BLACK TURNSTONE, a SNOWY PLOVER and a BONAPARTE'S GULL.
