Yesterday morning (12/23/17) the previously reported juvenile
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was on a tree in the southwest corner of the lake:

....a BELTED KINGFISHER in the same group of trees allowed a distant shot
before flying off at my appoach (very skittish birds):

and I also photographed Common Goldeneyes, a Pied-billed Grebe, and
a Greater Yellowlegs, http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/latest .

Bob Reiling told me about the flight of the Barrow's Goldeneye to A1, but
when I checked that pond the goldeneye group had moved too far off for
photographs.
