This morning the adult male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was first seen by another birder flying into the Southeastern edge of Shoreline Lake (near the marker for the 11th hole on the golf course) where it could be viewed with a good scope. Later all the Goldeneyes were flushed by boats using the lake and the Goldeneyes including the Barrow's Goldeneye were re-found in Salt Pond A1.(providing better viewing). The adult male HOODED MERGANSER continued with the COMMON GOLDENEYES and was seen displaying near them. No sign of the American Bittern, it seems to be an afternoon bird, but Views of a GREEN HERON, a Sora and a Virginia Rail helped to pass the time.
