Subject: [texbirds] Anahuac and the coast today
Not much actual birding as doing family sightseeing.
Had the big flock of geese across the road from the Anahuac visitor center.

The male vermilion flycatcher was on the fence and the walls by the doors
to the old restroom.

The say's phoebe was just inside the fence in front of the green rice
equipment.

9 yellow-headed blackbirds were along 1986 east of the Skillern Tract.

While going east from Skillern, there are 3 corrals on the north side of
1985. The yellowheads were at the 2nd corral that has a few trees and the
entrance to the small gravel pit just east of the corral. There are really
lots of blackbirds and cowbirds in the rice in the area but the good birds
were near the top of the tree. Could well have been more but did not stop
long.

Lots of fog on the coast and birds way out on low tide hard to see.
