Subject: [MBBIRDS] Woodpeckery Day at Quail Hollow
Hi All,

Quail Hollow had a lot of Woodpeckers, today. In addition to the ACORN
WOODPECKERS on the pine at the parking area, there was a NUTALL'S on the
adjacent oak. There was a NORTHERN FLICKER and a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER in
the apple orchard, a HAIRY WOODPECKER near the beginning of the Italian
Trail, and best of all a PILEATED WOODPECKER on the Italian trail, in the
stretch of woods between the two branches of the Chaparral Trail. I got
good looks at all of them, and better-than-nothing photos of all but the
Flicker, which I will post at https://www.flickr.com/photos/jmaughn/ when
I'm not madly rushing about. (...which should be around 10pm.)

Jim
