Today, Violet crowned Hummingbird was observed regularly at feeder Z at Paton's in Patagonia. A Cooper's Hawk snagged something from the front feeder area, and put on a discreet show behind some foliage " chowing down ".
At .2 mi past the cattle guard in front of Paton's heading towards the Nature Conservancy, the previously reported Red breasted Sapsucker put on a pretty good show working the tree on the left, ( south ) side of the road. There are often Red naped Sapsuckers, and the odd Gila's Woodpecker in the same tree. Cheers, Thor.
