The big show at Pea Island continues...thousands of ducks and swans, and
abundant white pelicans among others.

Today we had five bald eagles (four adults), one peregrine falcon and one
sharp shined hawk. The first eagle was seen on a utility pole near the
Comfort Inn in Nags Head...the second soaring over Bonner Bridge, and the
rest at Pea Island NWR.

Two other highlights: one pipit in the grass at Pea Island, and one Brant
in N. Pond, seen from the path that starts from the visitor center parking
lot. Almost forgot, one orange-crowned warbler at Pea Island.
