Subject: Costa Rica recos. - Big Thanks
Good Morning Everyone,

My wife and I just returned from a magical trip to Costa Rica. We visited
areas around Arenal Volcano, Playa Tamarindo, Rio Tarcoles and the
highlands of San Gerardo De Dota. Aside from seeing both three toed and
two toed sloths (one with a baby), monkeys and crocodiles, we managed to
see tons of birds. So much of this was possible because of suggestions made
by members of this listserve! Overall I racked up more than 100 LIFERS!

Bird highlights included:

Golden-headed Tanagers
Long-tailed Silky Flycatchers
Spotted Wood-Quails
Keel-billed and Yellow-Throated Toucans
Scarlet Macaws
Bare Throated Tiger Herons
Fiery-throated Hummingbirds
A Mourning Warbler
Gartered Trogans
And 8 RESPLENDENT QUETZALS !!!

Thanks so much!!
