Nigel Crook and I birded a few areas in Patagonia today. The Paton Center for Hummingbirds was busy with the expected birds. Nigel spotted the continuing Red-breasted Sapsucker in its seemingly favorite ash trees after sorting through many Red-naped Sapsuckers. At the Patagonia-Sonoita Nature Conservancy, Nigel identified a Swainson’s Thrush along the Creek Trail. The 20 plus Western Bluebirds close to the entrance patio were a treat as was the flock of Cedar Waxwings in the town’s center park.
