Our group of six from Tubac walked the birding trail and then did the excellent brunch at RRGC this morning. 42 species in a bit over an hour. Highlights included 4+ Red Crossbills, 3 Red-breasted Nuthatch, 2 Sora, and a nice assortment of ducks. Complete list entered in Ebird.
The owners have asked that birders please sign in using the guest book on the patio before heading out on the trail. There is no fee for birding (unless you opt for a golf cart) but there is a donation box at the sign-in area, and all contributions are greatly appreciated and help maintain the wonderful variety of habitats.
After a couple of weeks of exclusive use by birders, the golf course is reopening the front nine at noon tomorrow so please be respectful of golfers and avoid that part of the course when you visit. For those interested, the restaurant is greatly expanding its hours to serve breakfast and lunch from 730am to 3pm, Sun through Fri.
