11/8. Stratford
Boothe Memorial Park hawk watch from 10am-12 noon: 160 Turkey Vultures, 1 Black Vulture, 2 No. Harrier, 5 Sharp-shinned, 1 Cooper's, 32 Red-shouldered, 10 Red-tails, 1 Eagle species, 1 Peregrine.

Coastal private property: 78 Greater Yellowlegs (amazing number for this late date), 6 Yellow-crowned and 3 Black-crowned Night-Herons.

Stratford Point: a conservative estimate of 470 Laughing Gulls involved in a feeding frenzy (probable fish prey) in the Sound south of the lighthouse. Too far to discern any rarer species mixed in, but still an unusually large number for this late date.

Short Beach Park: 55 Black-bellied Plovers, 28 Dunlin roosting on beach during very high tide.
