To add to the many others in different parts of the state, we had a Rufous-backed Robin along the Vista Point trail here in Portal this morning. It was feeding in the fruiting madrone trees along the trail, with a couple of American Robins & several Hermit Thrushes. This is probably a 2nd individual, not the same one that was reported in downtown Portal a couple weeks ago, as it was pretty bright.
Also, there were 2 Townsend's Solitaires hanging out on the tops of the sycamores in Silver Creek, near the large pullout on the south, along the Portal/Paradise Road.
Lastly, several Red Crossbills have been seen feeding on the pines at the Jasper residence on Portal Rd.
