A good day on the cape today (11/4) ended with good views of 4 Marbled Godwits and 3 (Western) Willets at Forest Beach in Chatham (sorry George). Walk to the outlet east of the parking area.
Also present were 98 Greater Yellowlegs, constantly calling and 3000 Double-crested Cormorants.
Other highlights today was Dickcissel, 9 Eastern Meadowlark, 4 Eastern Bluebirds at Fort Hill in Eastham; 150 Great, 25 Manx and 5 Sooty Shearwater, 25 Razorbill, 3 Black Guillemot, 50 Black-legged Kittiwake, conservatively 3000 scoters made up of all three species, a flyover Lapland Longspur at Coast Guard Beach in Eastham; 22 Cory's Shearwater, 1 Whimbrel, 9 Semipalmated Plover at First Encounter Beach, Eastham.
Very interesting-there was no noticeable Cory's Shearwater on the ocean side with constant feeding activity being seen for the other three species and on the bay side the only shearwater species seen was Cory's with no feeding being seen.
