Nice to see the all-too-few "win" for nature.
Hope this chick has a long and reproductive life. Unfortunately, I didn't see any attachment, but I know what they look like!

Subject: [PABIRDS] Piping Plover from eggs saved in Erie spotted in FL!
Wanted to share this great news for those who might not be on Facebook...
One of the Piping Plover chicks from the eggs saved by Mary Birdsong and
the Pennsylvania Game Commission from the nest overcome by waves at Gull
Point in Erie has been spotted in Cedar Key, Florida. So awesome!
From the Great Lakes Piping Plover Recovery Effort Facebook: “Exciting and
positive news for your Friday out of Florida! Pat and Doris Leary report a
sighting of Of,B/OO:X,B at Cedar Key. This is one of the chicks that came
from the nest in Pennsylvania that was washed out by rising water and
subsequently raised in captivity. After being released at Whitefish Point
in the UP this plover had quite the journey to get to Florida. Attached
photo by Pat and Doris Leary.”
Many more kudos to all involved with the PIPL efforts in Erie!
