Today at 0805, in the dead cottonwood north of the footbridge, I observed 7 Cedar Waxwings perched in a rough circle with a White-winged Dove in the center. A Sora called in the distance. Vintage Sweetwater; the wet, the dry, and the moving through. The hatch-year male Summer Tanager was calling in the cottonwoods just west of the parking lot. Same place where he was discovered last Wednesday.
