Subject: Burr Oak Woods CA & Lake Remembrance CA
Went to Burr Oak Woods this morning to check pines at the entrance for crossbills. No luck, but did have 3 Red-breasted Nuthatches and a nice flock of Cedar Waxwings. Also, had a flock of about 20 White-throated Sparrows that made quite a commotion scratching the leaf litter. Along the Tree Trail had a FOS Hermit Thrush.
Lake Remembrance had a lot of pedestrian traffic. Highlights were Green-winged Teal, Am Wigeon and FOS Common Loon.
