Subject: Northern Shrike, Lawrence County
Dear Birders,

Yesterday afternoon, amid the consistent drizzle, there was an adult Northern Shrike, on McConahy Road in Lawrence County. This location has held at least one shrike for the past few years. This bird is a bit early but may have been overlooked in past years.

Also, an adult Snow Goose was seen in a flock of Canada's at the Shenango Propagation Ponds in Mercer County.
A surprising number of Turkey Vultures were still wending their way south as I counted 44 individuals over the Shenango Reservoir around 1:30 in two kettles.

Shorebirds at Shenango continued with Killdeer, Black-bellied Plover, American Golden Plover, Solitary Sandpiper, and Spotted Sandpiper.

Fifty-five species were found from 1-5 PM in Mercer and Lawrence counties.
