Subject: Butler Co.-Lake Oneida shorebirds
Hi all,
A brief stop at Lake Oneida along Rt. 38, Butler Co.  yielded 7 species of shorebirds. There are extensive mudflats forming at the upper end of the lake, where most of the birds are concentrated. I had limited time, and this list should certainly not be considered exhaustive.
Approx. numbers:Green-winged Teal-5+Killdeer-40+Greater Yellowlegs-1Least Sandpiper-1Pectoral Sandpiper-2White-rumped Sandpiper-2Dunlin-6Wilson's Snipe-1American Pipit-several dozen
Cheers,Ben Coulter
