Subject: IBET Northern goshawk, Wooded Isle, Oct. 29, 2017
We saw what is likely the same juvenile northern goshawk seen yesterday. Seen well but briefly from the Osaka / Phoenix Garden around 10 am.

Clearly an accipiter, most obvious characteristic was the heavy body, and strong direct flight, then the streaked breast, and finally the unevenly banded tail. Tail seemed short as compared to a COGA, perhaps because of the mass of the body.
