In Strawberry Cove, Richardson Bay, a tight group of 28 Bufflehead with 4 adult males. I didn't get a good look at the other female/juvs because, for some reason, they all took off as soon as got my binoculars trained on them.
In case absentees are of interest, I've seen almost no shorebirds here this fall, just an occasional Long-billed Curlew, 1 Spotted Sandpiper along with California & Western Gulls. In recent years, the regulars have included Willets & Greater Yellowlegs.
