Subject: [OrangeCountyBirding] Bell's Vireo
A BELL'S VIREO was in John Baca Park this morning in the woody brush on the slope below the homes south of the big drain basin. Overall a very drab bird with pale gray underparts, medium gray upperparts with a faint green wash on the back - a Least Bell's (pusillus). This is now the 6th or 7th year the bird has wintered in the park. I think it was Jim Pike who first found it wintering in 2011 though it was missed one or two years since then.
