OCTOBER 14, SATURDAY, 8 a.m. SECOND SATURDAY BIRD WALK
Bring your binoculars and discover the ever changing varieties of birds
that visit and live in Chisholm Creek Park. No birding experience is
expected or needed, no membership in any organization is required, and no
question is too elementary. Expect 1-2 miles of walking on paved paths. The
walk will last approximately 90 minutes. Meet at the Great Plains Nature
Center parking lot For information: Kevin Groeneweg, 706-9116

OCTOBER 21, SATURDAY, 6:45 a.m. FALL BIRDING IN THE CROSS TIMBERS
We will meet at the Dillons parking lot at Kellogg and Andover Rd,
departing at 6:45 am. This trip will wander through the scenic Cross
Timbers region, visiting Fall River and Toronto Reservoirs. Expect a good
variety of waterfowl, gulls, terns, raptors and a number of other bird
species. Bring along something for lunch as this trip will take up the
majority of the daylight hours. A State Park Permit will be needed for each
vehicle.
