Don Billett and I went to Memorial Lake State Park and started at 11 am at noon we saw about 8 Mallards, and about 30 to 40 yards away we had a winter plumage Red-throated Loon , there was also a Double-crested Cormorant at the lake today. With 8 Ring-billed Gulls was a winter plumage Bonaparte's Gull . While watching the lake we had 2 winter adults Common Loon fly in. The helicopters were flying near the lake a lot in the afternoon. The rain changed a lot today from 0 to light to heavier .
