Subject: [ALBIRDS] overnight influx
Hi all,

Birds were moving last night, all one species! A neighborhood walk produced
35 Catbirds which were not present yesterday. A weak front eked through
overnight and winds are currently @ N 10 - 13 mph. Upper level winds
(2600-3000 ft) were somewhat light and variable. Not the best for a big
movement. Why so many Catbirds and not much else? Ah, the mystery of bird
migration! We did have a few other migrants in small nos., Redstarts,
Indigos, thrushes. Winds should go around to the E tomorrow, not the best
for more incoming.
