Weather: Strong W & NW wind with rain showers and drizzle most of the day (until 2:00). Gusts as high as 38 mph. Brief bursts of clearing. Valley was mostly shrouded in fog, with occasional minutes of partly clearing until mid-afternoon. High temperature of 20.6 C.
Raptor Observations: The Cooper's, Sharp-shinned, and migrating Turkey Vultures flew just below, hugging the ridge. The Kestrel flew low directly overhead. There were also 2 Turkey Vultures and 1 Red-tail patrolling the valley most of the afternoon.
Non-raptor Observations: American Crow 57, Raven 2, Towhee 4, Pileated Woodpecker 1, Blue Jay 17, Downy Woodpecker 1
Butterflies: Monarch 9 Also Painted Lady, Pearl Crescent, Sulphur, Cabbage White, Red-spotted Purple, American Copper
