Subject: [SFBirds] Clay-Colored, Brewer’s and Chipping Sparrow, Palm Warbler at Fort Mason
The lawn in front of the General’s House this morning had multiple species of sparrows, including a CLAY-COLORED, BREWER’S, and CHIPPING. A PALM WARBLER and a NASHVILLE WARBLER were also on the lawn, along with two WESTERN BLUEBIRDS, a SAY’S PHOEBE and many YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS. A WESTERN WOOD PEWEE was in one of the adjacent trees, along with a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER. An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was in the garden, along with four WESTERN TANAGERS. There were Tanagers in the Battery as well, along with a WARBLING VIREO and an Empid with a perfectly round eye ring, wing bars and a large head.
