Subject: [COBOL] Green Ridge today
A hardy crew of weekend warriors hung it out through a wet morning and cold
day as 18-24 mph winds from the west pushed 177 raptors through on Sunday.
It started off very slow but peaked from 1:00 - 2:00 with 46 birds, a great
day for Eagles and Merlins.

0 Turkey Vultures
1 Osprey
22 Bald Eagle
1 Northern Harrier
41 Sharp-shinned Hawk
21 Cooper's Hawk
5 Red-tailed Hawk
12 Golden Eagle
11 Merlin
1 Peregrine
1 Unid. Accipiter
1 Unid. Raptor

Today's participants included Peter Low, Kim Boodie, Nancy & Satch
Esperancilla, Tom Crabtree, Evan Thomas, Mike Bogar, Ryan Shaffer, Michael
Thomas, Nancy Lynn, Rick Sany, Colin Watson, Renee Fowler plus a couple of
folks from Salem just passing by.
We enjoyed the very good company of USFS exchange intern from Austria,
Simon Kofler. Looking forward to better conditions and more birds tomorrow,

David Vick
