Subject: IBET Red Tailed Hawk Today
Our long dead Tulip Tree had a new visitor this afternoon at the height of
the rains that came through in sheets.

The Red Tailed perched at the top of the tree, faced the wind and rain, and
simply gloried in the drenching! Spreading both wings and tail in the
bathing rains, the Red just soaked it up.

Finally, leaving to the Northeast.

So far this season in the barren tree: Nuthatch, Red Bellied, Downy and
Hairy, Coopers and Goshawk, Great Horned Owl and now the Red-Tailed! Who
says "cut it down!"

Palatine, Cook County.
