Subject: Lancaster Co. Bird Club presents Jack Hubley on Thurs., 10/12/17 at 7:00 pm
The Lancaster County Bird Club will meet Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Rd., Lancaster, PA. The presentation is appropriate for children as well as adults.

Local naturalist and TV personality, Jack Hubley, will present a program (with live animals) on the mammals, birds of prey and snakes, most of which, at one time or another, can be found outside your back door. Through newspapers, magazines and television, Jack has been a multimedia advocate for the natural world for more than 40 years. Recently retired from television, he has hosted three half-hour nature shows and nature-news vignettes on WGAL for the past 30 years. His television career began as host/producer of “Call of the Outdoors” in 1987. His half-hour syndicated show, “Wild Moments,” aired in 140 broadcast markets nationwide from 2000 to 2004. He also served as outdoors editor for the Lancaster Sunday News for 18 years. Although he said goodbye to his on-air career in April of this year, he continues to conduct his falconry program - “The Falconry Experience" - for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, as well as offering his “Wild Neighbors” lecture series featuring live, native wildlife species. A falconer for the past 30 years, he is one of fewer than 100 falconers nationwide licensed to hunt with Golden Eagles.

A short business meeting will precede the program. The public is invited to attend free of charge and may call 717-393-2546 with questions. More information about the club can be found on its website at<> and on Facebook @ Lancaster Bird Club.
