I birded Hatfield until the dusk was too dim and the sunset too lovely to keep going. A molting male Eurasian wigeon was in the first pond among many American wigeons and other dabblers and a lone tundra swan. There were a least a couple male teal, mallards, and pintails with full fresh breeding colors. A merlin was calling from the junipers near the entrance, too.
Only shorebirds I found were a dozen dowitchers, a half dozen killdeer, three leasts and two snipe.
