Subject: [Va-bird] Great Falls NP Bird Walk 10/01/2017 (Fairfax County)

Following is the tally from Sunday's weekly bird walk at Great Falls National Park, which included eight participants and identified approximately 42 species.
Conditions were ideal for birding, and the wildlife did not disappoint.  Also sighted was a herd of approximately 10 white-tailed deer.  Last, but not least, kudos to Colt and to Ralph for seeing the first and the best titmice of the day, respectively.
The walk meets on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in front of the snack bar/concession stand of the Great Falls Park visitors' center.  All birders are welcome!
