I actually meant to say Joyce Brady had photographed it at the boardwalk just before we arrived around noonish today. I didn't see it today, missed it by that much. Anywho it seems to be visiting both places. I did have it at 5:53 last night and at 6:02 it was reported at BC and I know it was no longer on the river because it disappeared from view right after I took the GPS reading.

Having just come back from Bolsa Chica, where Rick Shearer told me had 'the' Tricolored Heron between noon and 1pm at the NW end of the boardwalk, doesn't it seem like we might have two Tricoloreds?

This morning at 8:45 AM my wife and I saw the Tricolored Heron. It was half way between Hamilton and Adams in the Santa Ana River. It was with a group of Snowy and Great Egrets and one Reddish Egret.
