Subject: [ia-bird] Hurricane Irma and Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary
For those of you that have visited Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in SW Florida and might be interested in how it fared with hurricane Irma I have attached a link to an article in the local paper. They are in recovery mode but still without power and water. Attempts are being made to rescue orchids and other tropical plants that were growing on the centuries old trees. As you can see in the article the swamp sustained a lot of damage.
