Protect Geauga Parks is still accepting applications for the Bob McCullough Memorial Scholarship
Protect Geauga Parks has created this Conservation Scholarship to assist students in Geauga County who are Graduating in 2018 and plan to study the Natural Sciences
The amount of each scholarship is $500.00. Three scholarships will be given in 2017
Qualified applicants will:
Have an interest in studying one of the Natural or Environmental Sciences
Have demonstrated a commitment to conservation, through extra-curricular activities, projects or part time employment
Graduate High School in the Spring of 2018
Applications should include:
An essay of 500 – 1000 words that describe how your project or activities demonstrate the importance of Conservation to you.
Letter of recommendation from a student advisor, volunteer coordinator, employer or parent
Applications are due by 5:00 PM Sunday September 17, 201 7
Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by Sunday October 15th 2017.
Public announcement of the scholarship will take place at the 2017 Protect Geauga Parks Conservation Heroes Reception on November 12, 2017
Those awarded scholarships will be invited to attend the Reception to accept the award.
