Subject: [de-birds] Tuesday 9/12 Cape Henlopen Bird Walk results
We had a large crowd of enthusiastic birds but a relatively slow morning. (Tuesday 9/12)

We explored around the Nature Center and up at The Point.

Many Blue Grosbeaks and Tree Swallows at the Point as well as many Osprey.

Tufted Titmouse
Eastern Towhee
Pine Warbler
Red-eyed Vireo
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
Northern Cardinals
House Finches
Mourning Dove
Tree Swallows
Double-crested Cormorants
Turkey Vultures
Crow (sp)
Bald Eagle (on Fire Control Tower near the Point)
Osprey

The Point

Mourning Doves (more)

Osprey (more)
Double-crested Cormorants (more)
Blue Grosbeaks
Northern Mockingbird
Caspian Terns
Royal Terns
Laughing Gulls
Herring Gulls
Greater Black-backed Gull

Also observed a young red fox on the bay side beach and dolphins off the breakwater.
