We had a large crowd of enthusiastic birds but a relatively slow morning. (Tuesday 9/12)
We explored around the Nature Center and up at The Point.
Many Blue Grosbeaks and Tree Swallows at the Point as well as many Osprey.
Carolina Wrens Carolina Chickadees Brown-headed Nuthatches Tufted Titmouse Eastern Towhee Pine Warbler Red-eyed Vireo Ruby-throated Hummingbirds Northern Cardinals House Finches Mourning Dove Tree Swallows Double-crested Cormorants Turkey Vultures Crow (sp) Bald Eagle (on Fire Control Tower near the Point) Osprey
Mourning Doves (more) Tree Swallows (more) Osprey (more) Double-crested Cormorants (more) Blue Grosbeaks Northern Mockingbird Caspian Terns Royal Terns Laughing Gulls Herring Gulls Greater Black-backed Gull Brown Pelican
Also observed a young red fox on the bay side beach and dolphins off the breakwater.
