Subject: halo and broad-wings
If you're in State College there's a halo and a little kettle of broad wings over campus.

A meteorology prof once said that the thin, flat, high cloud that makes haloes is a sign of a weather system approaching from our south.
In this case, it looks like the outer tendrils of Irma are above us. https://www.weather.gov/satellite#vis
