Hello, This morning at 7:45 AM I saw a Sooty Tern from the SCE&G Park on the north side of the Lake Murray Dam in Lexington County, SC. The bird flew in from open water at a height of 15 to 20 feet and in a direct-line flight. When reaching the dam, it circled back over open water and then gained altitude and disappeared. I got a couple of mediocre photos which I'll post to my e-bird report.
Also of interest were Lesser Yellowlegs and a group of six immature Laughing Gulls.
