Subject: [ia-bird] Black-Throated Blue and Kentucky Warblers in Linn Co.
Today, warbler numbers were only fair at Squaw Creek Park but a lot of walking yielded 19 species topped by a
male BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER and skulking KENTUCKY WARBLER (last warbler of the day!). Also seen were Mourning,
Blue-winged, Yellow, N. Waterthrush and 2 Carolina Wrens (I've been hearing them everywhere.) Blackburnian-NOT.

The headline warblers were found after 11 a.m. in the S.W. section of the park. They were midway along the small
creek and trail that runs east and west in the timbered valley. A big parking lot and old fashioned restrooms mark
the west trailhead.
