Subject: [sbcobirding] Rails, Soras and Shrike at LLC

Early morning highlights today at Lake Los Caneros were two VIRGINIA RAILs (one seen while second one heard farther away), two SORAs, and a SHRIKE.

Yesterday, George and I observed a lot of mid-morning feeding activity in the sunken Eucalyptus grove east of the pedestrian bridge. It included a variety of warblers (BLACK-THROATED GRAY, WILSON'S, YELLOW, ORANGE-CROWNED, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT) plus BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS, BULLOCK'S ORIOLES, several WESTERN TANAGERS and a WILLOW FLYCATCHER.
