I birded at the Stark Co. portion of Berlin L. around lunchtime today. Despite ample mudflats, shorebirds were few in number and variety. Birds I did find were: wood ducks, 50 double-crested cormorants, 10 great egrets, bald eagle, 3 semipalmated plovers, 15 killdeer, stilt sandpiper, 3 least sandpipers, 2 semipalmated sandpipers, spotted sandpiper, Caspian tern, and warbling vireo.
