Subject: [CT Birds] Migrating hummingbirds Norwalk-Stamford
9 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and counting, flying south and west along the shoreline this morning while on one of my morning charters for Striped Bass and Bluefish. I happened to notice two that paused in flight, dipped down, then resume flying again (like a Goldfinch does). Is this a way to conserve energy during migratory flights?
