Subject: [obol] Waterfowl Eckman Lake
This afternoon there was a sub-adult male ring-necked duck in Alsea Bay at
the Eckman Lake outflow near Waldport. It has some strange molting going
on involving the wings and tail and I suspect that this bird may have been
out on the bay this summer rather than an early arrival to the area. This
evening there were 31 white-fronted geese at the south end of the lake by
far the most I've ever seen on the lake.
