Subject: [NBB] American Canyon Wetlands
Today, 19 Golden Gate Auduboners and affiliates enjoyed close views of several sora feeding next to a Virginia rail, a singleton lesser yellowlegs, and many shorebirds in the North Slough just north of the methane plant/old landfill. About noon with temps at or about 97 degrees F, John C. got the group on 3 willow flycatchers perched together on a snag. This was at the first freshwater pond reached by walking north on the Bay Trail from the parking lot at 2 Eucalyptus Drive, Wetlands Edge Park, American Canyon, Napa Co.
