Just wanted to reiterate that, at this time, Swan Creek is not planning on being open Saturday, Sunday, or Labor Day. Also, as of now, there are no plans for extended hours this evening. So if you want to see the bird, I'd recommend getting over there by 3pm so you can get a good look before leaving at 3:30pm. The facility will reopen on Tuesday September 5th at 7am.
The bird has been cooperative all day so far, feeding straight out from the viewing area and relatively close in. Other good birds present include 8 Hudsonian Godwits, 2 Wilson's Phalaropes, a Baird's Sandpiper, and a Yellow-headed Blackbird. Of course there are several Stilt, White-rumped, and Western Sandpipers around to enjoy as well.
