Subject: [Va-bird] Nighthawks in Lynchburg
Hi All,
About an hour ago a series of large flocks of Common Nighthawks moved through northern Lynchburg. George Burruss and I counted 108 birds. Many other passerines were dropping out of the sky as a small storm front chased the birds in. Other notable birds were Black-and-white Warblers, a Black-throated Green Warbler, and a Yellow-throated Warbler. Large flocks of American Robin and Chimney Swift were also making their way south with the nighthawks.

Happy Birding,
Logan Anderson
